“The Secret Life of Walter Mitty” is a story about a person, who is called Walter Mitty, he always have the daydreams. And he had five daydreams in this story. The first dream is he flies a Navy airplane through a terrible storm, and he is very brave, he leads this flight successfully. The second dream, he dreams he is a great surgeon. He has great skills, and he can fix the anesthetic by himself. The third dream is he is on trial for murder, and he can use either hand to play the gun. The fourth dream is he is a wonderful fighter pilot; he flies the plane by himself (without the partner). Then the last dream, he tried to relax with the cigarette, but he goes into a firing square, and he is doomed. These are some base plots in this story.

  From the introduction, we can see that Walter Mitty, who is the main character in this story. In his dream, he is a brave, fearless, powerful leader. He can do many special things, like flies the Navy airplane, fix the machines. He can overcome the pressure very easy, and he is not afraid to die. For example, the first dream, he can fly the Navy airplane in the storm. He does not feel afraid, and he is very claim. Also, because of the great skill, he flies successfully. This dream can prove that he is very brave, and he has the great kill. For the fifth dream, he goes into the firing square, he knows he will die, but he does not afraid with it.

  In Walter Mitty’s fantasies, he is very brave, but in the real life, he is a very forgetful man, he does not have some great skill. For example, he cannot park the car successful, and somebody help him to park the car. That is the example that he does not have great skill. Another example is he forgets what he should buy in the mail, then he says the “puppy biscuit”, and his wife laughs him. This example proves that he is a forgetful man.

  To sum up, the reason why Walter Mitty daydream is because he wants to be a man that is brave and fearless, but he cannot be this kind of man in the real life, so he makes himself become this kind of man in the dream. That is the reason why he always has the daydreams.

From the story, we can see they the world is full of "equal", each person should have a handicap to make them not be better than the other. The good examples of these people are George and Hazel. They both have the handicap so that they do not know their kid has been killed at the end of the story. Through this story, I think that Harrison is a hero. The reason why I think he is a hero is he is very strong, and he does not want to obey the rule of the world, he wants to be a emperor of the world. He can stand out to fight against the world's rules.
I think he will be a very democratic rules in the world, he will not make the people be equal, I mean the appearance of the people. He will cancel the rule of the handicap. They can have their advantage and develop their advantages without the handicap. It is good for the world to develop. So I think he will be a good ruler of this society.

For the story that Mr. Ward has given to us, I read it. This story is very funny, and it is a story full of the satire. This story is about a country or a world which is very equal, if one person have an advantage, they should have a handicap to this advantage, like one person have a good looking, he or she must to wear a mark to cover his or her face, and if they have a good voice, they should have a machine on their throat to change their voice not to be so beautiful. They are having a dance, and George and Hazel are watching the dance on the TV. The expositions is the world is very equal at that time, and there are many H-G men, and they keep the balance of the world. And Hazel had a perfectly average intelligence, which meant she couldn't think about anything except in short bursts. And George, while his intelligence was way above normal, had a little mental handicap radio in his ear. And they are watching the dance on the TV. The rising event is Harrison get out of the jail. He is a man who is very strong; he is very unequal for this world. The big event is Harrison appears on the dance and he says he is the emperor, he break the rule of the world. Then the falling event is the H-G men have killed him. At last, the resolution is his parents, who are George and Hazel do know he is die, because of the handicap.

I find this movie from the psychology club. This is a movie about a person who have the Dissociative Identity Disorder, this is the exploration of this movie. Then the movie change the place to a hotel, and the time change into 10years ago. at that time this person was a child, his mother had an accident in a storm day, the driver who made this accident helped them to get to a hotel. Because of the big rain, the road was full of the water, they cannot reach the hospital. Then there were more and more people came to this hotel because of the storm.
There is a couple, a hooker, a police, and a convict in these people. Then the driver's passenger was killed, and the driver thought the owner of the hotel kill her, the reason was he wants her money.
Then the convict was be killed, this hotel was full of death and fear. Then one person of the couple was be kill, now this hotel only had 8 people. They all didn't know who is the killer. Then, the boy's parent were died, too.
At last, the driver, the couple and the police who was the convict (he killed the police and became a police) were died, too. there are only the boy and the hooker alive. But when the hooker arrived her hometown, the boy killed her. then we

There are many different between my
parents’ generation and my generation. My generation is full of electronic
appliances. And our life is more comfortable than my parents’ life. We have
cellphone, and there are many functions for our cellphone, but our parents’
cellphone (when they are young), they only make phone call though the cellphone.
They use the letter to keep in touch with friends which live far away from them,
but now, we use the app like QQ, Wechat, and e-mail to keep in touch with
friends.


For the problems to need face, they will
  worry about the three meals of them, but now, we don’t need to worry about it,
  because they will do it for us, and the live is rich, so we can also go outside
  to have something to eat. When they are young, there are not many hospital, so
  they need to worry this problem, too. Now, the global warming is getting worse
  and worse, and quality of the air becomes very bad, and we need to face this
  problem, but when they are young, they didn't need to face this problem,
  because there was not much pollution at that
time.


Now, the world change a lot. There are more
  cars on the roads, and there are more people walk in the streets. But in the
  past, there were many bikes on the streets, and there was not many cars on the
  roads. TV become very common now, but it is very rarely in the
past.


Now, I see the world from the news or TV,
  but my parents see the world through their own eyes, they see different
  situations, and relationship. They see the world by the experiences they have.
That is the way I see the world different from the way they see
it.


Some of the differences between my parents
  and I also cause problems. For example, I always use the electronic appliances,
  but they do not want my always sit in front of the computer, they think I
should go outside to see the
natural.

This is the image of my parent's generation. The reason why I choose these will explain below.
The first picture. You may feel confused with this picture because you don't know what it is in the picture. Now, let me tell you, this is a packet of azuki beans. It is one of small snacks in Taiwan. The reason why I choose this picture is because in the past, or when my mother was young, she always eat this when she have feel time. These azuki beans are very sweet because there are some sugar around them. This one of the ancient small snacks.
For the picture below, as you can see, this is a picture of baseball. The reason why I choose this is because at that time, Taiwan is good at playing baseball, and there are many people in Taiwan love watching baseball match, so as my parents. They always watch the baseball match.
For the picture which is on the up right corner of the image, is only of the traditional culture in Taiwan. There are many night market in Taiwan, they open from four o'clock in afternoon to two o'clock in morning. My mother always go there, and there are many people, different kinds of snacks are appear in the night market. This is the night life of the Taiwanese. Like the picture beside the baseball. This one of the snack that my mother like to eat in the night market. When she go to the night market, she must eat this, so I choose this picture of one of the generation.
To sum up, the generation of my mother is full of memory of the part. These memory are very good and she like the life in the past, although her family is not very rich.
